The Canadian Medical Association says it is “deeply ashamed” and “deeply sorry” for the past and present harms the medical profession has caused to First Nation, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

The history of the War of 1812 included our warriors from Kanehsatà:ke who were previously unknown and unnamed heroes. This Educator’s Resource Guide is to inform teachers and individuals who want to understand the war of 1812 from Kanien’kehá:ka perspectives. The guide provides key Kanien’kéha words, a Lesson Plan template, and links to other related resources.
